The new BarnColor 4xSFP-Flex, designed to complement the highly flexible BarnColor system, offers four SFP transceiver bays for each unit, allowing you to configure a BarnColor-Flex pair with the necessary signal processing SFPs for your unique applications. You can cascade connect up to four different color units together. The system supports a maximum of 16 transceiver bays on each side, enabling the transmission of a total of 32 signal feeds with 16 feed-forward and 16 return signals. It can be paired with any model of different colors.

Both MSA and non-MSA SFP modules can be inserted into this BarnColor; however, the Dual TX and Dual RX models have a limitation of operating in single-channel mode.

BarnColor devices can be installed in color pairs or used as satellites alongside the BarnOne system. If you’re constructing a pure BarnColor system, start with a pair that matches any color and expand the system later as your needs grow. As long as the colors are different, you can mix different models of BarnColors or use multiple instances of the same model within the same system. When linking BarnColor devices, it is recommended to use single-mode fiber.
