
Accelerated Multichannel Receiver Decoder
The MRD 8000 is a powerful, accelerated receiver decoder built to meet the evolving demands of multichannel video delivery. Designed for contribution, distribution, and lab environments, it supports decode of HEVC, H.264, and MPEG-2 content up to 4K/UHD resolution with 4:2:2 and 10-bit video. HDR and WCG capabilities ensure compatibility with modern workflows.
Building on the trusted performance of the MRD 7000, the MRD 8000 introduces a new hybrid GPU platform that offers greater flexibility and efficiency in a compact 1RU chassis, and one that is primed for future AI enhancements. It provides a cost-effective solution for decoding up to four HD services or a single UHD service. Broad input support includes IP, satellite, ASI, and streaming protocols like SRT and Zixi, making it adaptable to any transport method.
The MRD 8000 also supports advanced audio processing for up to 16 channels, including Dolby AC-4 and ATMOS, and outputs via SDI or SMPTE 2110 with full support for hitless switching and synchronization.
The MRD 8000 supports real-time contribution decoding, reliable primary distribution, and flexible lab reference workflows. It is built to deliver confidence at every connection.
