DTA-2175

ASI/HD-SDI入出力 Low-Profile PCI Express Card

DTA-2175 is a PCI Express card that supports general-purpose HD-SDI/ASI input and output. In the event of a software or hardware failure, the relay automatically connects the input port to the output port, enabling a highly available system configuration without the need for a failover switch.

Block Diagram

SDI and ASI inputs flow through Port 1 to an equalizer, deserializer, processing (encoded in a format suitable for PC transmission), and DekTec’s highly optimized DMA controller. The output flow to Port 2 is quite similar but in the reverse direction.

When the PC loses power or the watchdog times out, the relay returns to the inactive position, and the input is directly connected to the output.

High Availability with DTA-2175

Bypassing the DTA-2175 allows for the simple and effective creation of high availability HD-SDI (or ASI) generators as shown in the diagram below.

Both PCs run the same application. Typically, the HD-SDI output is sent from PC1. If a failure occurs on PC1 (software crash or power failure), the relay will automatically bypass PC1 and failover to PC2.

About DekTec Matrix API® 2.0

The Matrix-API framework decodes incoming SDI data into pixel (programmable format), audio samples, and ANC data structures. When a new frame is received, the framework calls a user-defined “frame processor callback” for data processing. The user callback can generate output video, audio, and ANC data, which are encoded into SDI frames by the framework.

Synchronizing multiple input streams is straightforward. The video/audio/ANC data for all SDI frames provided to the callback function have the same arrival time by definition. Previous frames can be accessed using an integer frame index. The framework ensures that frames from different input ports with the same frame index were input to the system simultaneously.
